Sarina Nexie is not just a pretty face, as she uses her imagination, skills, and brains to create artistic makeup designs that are quickly catching the public attention with her eye-popping designs with over 250,000 Instagram followers!
I decided to catch up with the beauty, to see how she does it!
Emmy: Sarina! How long have you been doing freelance makeup?
Sarina: I have been doing freelance makeup for about 4 years now and I love it!
Emmy: How long does it take to complete one design?
Sarina: A makeup look can take anywhere from 2 hours to 9 hours depending on the amount of detail. Time flies by though because it’s a lot of fun to do.
Emmy: What’s the most challenging part of the industry?
Sarina: I think the most challenging part of the industry is standing out and being original. There are many talented artists now, and making a name for yourself is getting harder and harder.
Emmy: What’s one piece of advice you could give to someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Sarina: The best advice I have for anyone wanting to be a makeup artist is to never compare yourself to others. Your journey is yours and yours alone, and the chapter in your book might not be the same as someone else’s and that’s okay! Just do your best and work for what you want, and you’ll get there.♥
